coach TY ROSS.
My name is Ty Ross, and baseball has been at the center of my life since I was four years old. What started as backyard games grew into the opportunity to play Division I baseball at Louisiana State University. Along the way, the game shaped my character, strengthened my discipline, and deepened my love for competition. I was fortunate to be drafted in the 12th round by the San Francisco Giants, where I played four professional seasons before a shoulder injury brought my playing career to an unexpected end.
Even though my time on the field ended earlier than I had hoped, it led me to something that means even more to me, coaching the next generation. I come from a long line of coaches, starting with my grandfather Chuck Ross, followed by my father Mathew Ross, and now continuing through me. Coaching is part of who I am, but for me it goes beyond teaching the game. It is about mentoring young men, helping them grow, and using baseball as a way to prepare them for life.
I see baseball as the vehicle, but life as the real lesson. The game teaches patience, perseverance, humility, and resilience. My goal is to pass those lessons on with purpose and care. Whether someone is working toward a college scholarship, sharpening their skills, or learning how to lead, I am here to guide them, challenge them, and support them every step of the way.
