coach TY ROSS

My name is Ty Ross, and baseball has been at the center of my life since I was four years old. From the early days of backyard games to the bright lights of Division I baseball at Louisiana State University (LSU), the game has shaped my character, discipline, and love for competition. I was honored to be drafted in the 12th round by the San Francisco Giants, where I went on to play four professional seasons before a shoulder injury brought my playing career to an unexpected close.

While my time on the field came to an end sooner than I imagined, it opened the door to something even more meaningful—coaching the next generation. As a third-generation baseball coach, I carry forward a legacy that began with my grandfather, Chuck Ross, continued through my father, Mathew Ross, and now lives on in my own work with young athletes. Coaching runs in my blood, but it’s more than just teaching mechanics—it’s about mentoring young men, building character, and using baseball as a tool to prepare them for life.

I believe that baseball is the medium, but life is the lesson. The field teaches patience, perseverance, humility, and grit—and it’s my mission to pass on those lessons with intention and purpose. Whether you’re chasing a college scholarship, refining your fundamentals, or learning to lead, I’m here to guide, challenge, and support every step of the way.
